19 weeks

Big news this week is that I think I've started to feel the baby moving.  I've heard the sensation described by other mom-to-bes as eels slithering, popcorn popping, gas and flutters... I'm going with eels and gas.

I've got lots of sewing projects planned for the summer, and we've started looking at strollers.  I've decided that the stroller I want is not made.  With our traveling lifestyle, we have some specific needs.  We need something smallish, with versatility, the car seat of our choosing will snap into, and that can handle the bumpy roads of Taiwan.  And then, I need to be able to find it in Taiwan or it has to be able to be shipped to here, which not all places will do.  Oh, and I don't want to spend $1,000.  Any suggestions out there?  I have a feeling we'll be strapping our little one to us with a wrap or carrier and going sans stroller a lot of the time here.

2 weeks until we come home!

  1. Perhaps Land Rover makes a stroller, however, it might cost $28845 TWD.

  2. oh man, that is a tall order! If you do end up strapping the wee one to you to go places, I'd like to put in my unsolicited 2 cents to get an ergo carrier. They are delightfully wonderful. babysteals.com often has them for 50% off so they aren't so crazy to buy. They have awesome supports. :)

  5. Congrats on your baby! Your blog is great. I've always liked the Graco snap n gos, however the wheels on Taiwanese sidewalks...probably won't cut it. McLarens are good, or a jogging stroller. You can always buy it in the States and check it as luggage when you come back!

Like you mentioned, not very stroller friendly here so the Ergo would probably be your best bet. I've used the Ergo until the baby was 2 years old and never had any discomfort or back pain like I did with the Bjorn. Definitely worth the price difference in my opinion for the comfort and versatility in carrying styles.
