Corduroy

Tegan likes to visit our school's library and borrow books and stuffed animals. This weekend she returned Curious George and brought home Corduroy. Of course he came to breakfast with us this morning.

 

Valentine's Day

Tegan made her first valentine this weekend! I put some contact paper face-up, set out bits and pieces of fun things and let her go at it.

 

Tegan says

The other day at a doctor check I was asked how many words Tegan knows, I laughed and said I had no idea but she talks non-stop. And she does, she narrates all that is happening around her.

Some favorite words and phrases right now:

• Why?
• Where?
• I do it
  
• Where are you going?
  
• Daddy/mommy I want you
  
• I like it/I no like it
  
• Nice!
• I know

And then she busts things out like:

• Whoopsie, I no have this Mickey Mouse in my kitchen.
  
• Hey mommy you wearing your slippers. Tegan no wearing my slippers. My feet cold. Your feet no cold.
  

And this morning's monologue went like this:

• Where my doctor stuffs? Last time daddy have. I looking for it. Where my doctor stuffs? And doctor bag? Hey what's these babies doing here? They sleeping! There doctor stuffs, right here, right here. No next to door, here.

Weekend get-away

We spent the weekend out of Kathmandu soaking up the fresh air and great views (and for Tegan the attention of our friends). On Saturday Liam enjoyed a 3 hour nap while Tegan curled up on some chairs and caught a rare nap of her own. It was great to sit around drinking tea, playing cards, looking at the Himalayas and chatting with friends.
